Sorry, I'm playing catchup... can someone let me know which version of TacView I'd need to buy to use with CMO?

Also, just to confirm, I don't NEED to buy it? (if I don't want the FOW busting view)

Tacview Advanced. And no, it's not necessary. It's an option to have.

Why Advanced, why not Standard?

Why Advanced, why not Standard?

Looks like Tacview Standard does not work with Real-Time Telemetry.

AAR mode is not coming to CMO anytime soon. This is strictly a PE feature. If it is essential to your workflow, please contact us through a business address to discuss about a PE license.

I still do not understand why we would need a PE license for this feature, that already exists. Could anyone explain this to me please?
For me the AAR is important, because it would be distressing for me to evaluate everything in realtime. Also AAR replays give you the option to repeat certain situations, while in real time those information are lost. For almost all of my applications I use tacview as an AAR debriefing tool and not as a cheat tool in 3D.

So here we are a year later. CMO is almost unusable with your software still? what in the fuck? i purchased the advanced version as its listed in your compatible games and sold in a steam bundle together. and all i get is a 3d view in game? this is a waste of your time and ours, why did you even bother to port it to cmo if your not adding any use for it other than to view the game in 3d in a completely cheating way. Garbage software from garbage devs.

It's been pretty clearly explained here in the forums how it works with CMO and what limitations there are, so your "critique" is a bit over the top. in fact there's a pretty good discussion of which version and what it can do in the several posts just above yours.

Some people really like TacView as part of their CMO experience, and others don't like it, and others (like me) just weren't interested enough to add it - happy with just CMO.

I have no idea what you mean about a "completely cheating way" Do you mean FOW? I thought they had added that in in one of the updates. But I could be wrong because I don't have it to check for sure.

Dave understand you mad at his tone. I agree it bad. However big range of customer and can't expect all to follow the culture of the most loyal. If do just set everybody up for fails and maybe blur a painful truth.

I bought and returned Tacview. I returned it because the advanced version is very expensive and you are not getting the full set of features out of it unless you use with other game. So bit to much. I would consider buy basic version but would wait to see the reviews to see if things work.

I don't want to look into crystal ball but expect this is another thing that pro version have that entertainment do not. If so, I'd be ok with if they just say. It could also be that deal between Tacview is they must push the advanced version. If so ok if just say.

Thank you

Ok. Then why weigh in? You didn't buy it, have no idea what it does? Yet you're going to tell somebody that did their critique is over the top? I don't want to upset and always value your contributions but this guy have right to be a little over the top. Its is an expensive thing to buy.

Thank!

Bill

Yes, it was added last January as part of the v1.01 update: https://www.warfaresims.com/?p=5026

Dimitris,

Thanks for the laugh. Yeah, a thick skin is a MUST for a game developer in the age of customer feedback on forums.

FWIW, I'm a novice-level CMO player and I love having TacView open so I can see the 3D action unfold.

Great game, great support.

Happy New Year.

Creating an account just to post this makes it awfully suspicious, and not very credible.
