**These scenarios are custom made to 'cheat' for the AI, while the PBEM games have no cheats in them at all, and are as historic as possible.

**All other scenarios can be played in any manner, but the AI will not be 'as' tough as it is in their custom scenarios.

Note that there are two "Rising Sun" scenarios. The one on the first window (before you go to "other") is a short mini-game lasting until March 1942. It's also the only scenario that is a blow-out for the Japanese side. (Check the Data Card for bonus points for capturing key bases.)

Thanks for the info.

Does anyone know how bad the cheats are in Campaign 41? I am 50 turns into a pbem game and would rather not restart.

IIRC in the 41 campaign the Japanese AI has more ground units available from the start than the Japanese human player has in the Rising Sun or Tora, Tora, Tora PBEM scenarios. Furthermore, the Japanese commanders for the AI are supermen, almost (if not) all are rated '9' in their specialty and in agressiveness. There may be more.
