Sidi Bou Zid v2 Bcgames_Okayrun3254

Post by Okayrun3254 »

My first attempt at an AAR. This is turn 9 of 15. The Axis has regrouped and is advancing against a newly solidified Allied front line. I lost a Reece unit, and my heavy tank unit is cut off from supply.

I'm thinking of shaving three turns off this scenario...from 15 to 12. So you need to take Sbeitla and/or crank up your points thru kills--to Victory. Good luck! We're all counting on you!

A 12 turn game would be interesting. I think I would rethink my strategy in a future game to better position the Axis forces for a attack on Sbeitla. I think the Axis needs to focus on both taking Sbeitla and eliminating Allied units to win.

Turn 10, Planning to attack the Allied right flank. My recon is good, I have artillery support, and the shock factor is in my favor. Lets see how it goes.

At our current point in the scenario, I think the Allies have acquired too many points for occupying objectives. To move closer to balance, I'd like to see ~50 less points on the Allies scoreboard right now. What do you think?

It's the end of GT11 and here's what it looks like if the game ended now...an Allied win by two points. I think we are ready to call it...the scenario needs to double the scores for both sides for possession of victory locations (as was done in this test) and it needs to be 11 turns long (not 15). What do you think?

Historically, the Germans captured Sbeitla on/about Game Turn 9. However, the Allies Player enjoys an historical perspective that the 1st Armored Division leadership did not.

Yes, I think it is 2-3 turns too long. An aggressive Axis player can win without taking Sbeitla, and just destroying Allied units for points.

I think that is a fair assessment. Let's make it 12 turns instead of 11. Making Sbeitla a viable objective made the score close enough I think. We don't want to go too far in the other direction where the Axis can't win.

Good games well-played by the way--very enjoyable! Thanks!
