Allied HQ / Units

Post by abulbulian »

It doesn't appear, from the flag icon, that Canadian troops get the benefits from a UK HQ? If so, this is very unhistorical with the way allied armies fought, especially when it came to UK and Canadian troops. If this is the case, when can it be fixed?

thanks

For better or worse I think it WAD.

But I agree, it's not historical.

Ok I finally give. What is WAD?

And they do not. They have to use their own HQ otherwise they get a subordinate. That is how minors work. If they flag shows it is a bug I need to fix.

Working As Designed.

And I vote for better, didn't Commonwealthers always fight better under their own leaders.
The lark, signing its chirping hymn,
Soars high above the clouds;
Meanwhile, the nightingale intones
With sweet, mellifluous sounds.
Enough of Stalin, Freedom for the Ukraine !

Not in NA. Anzacs were always under British command, as were the South Africans. They seemed to fight well enough.

But the Canadians had their own actual Army commander, unlike the others. So this is okay.

At the level this of the game (Corp), historically there we many situations where Canadian divisions fought under UK Corp commands at different points during WWII. So I think the game should allow for any UK HQ to command other minor allies.

I agree. British units even fought under Canadian command. Historically at various points 1st Canadian Army had more British troops under command than Canadian.
