Fallschirmjäger deployment question.

Post by VonWulfen »

Hello all.
My Fallschirmjäger unit just became available for deployment.
I will be saving them for my push into Russia during the spring. (It is currently Jan 19th, 1940)
I thought I would ask in advance regarding their deployment.
Do they need to be placed on a constructed airfield,
as in Build, support, airfield pannel?

They can go anywhere.
Put them on working rail next to an HQ if you want to drop them, that way they get ready sooner.
The lark, signing its chirping hymn,
Soars high above the clouds;
Meanwhile, the nightingale intones
With sweet, mellifluous sounds.
Enough of Stalin, Freedom for the Ukraine !

Many thanks.
How many turns on a 9 supply hex do they require for fully operational?

Depends how low the effectiveness is to begin with. As the game rules are now the Para unit must be at 100% to jump. I use truck re-supply on them every turn (in addition to a high supply hexagon) and try to get them to 110% before jumping them in since they may have to fight on their own for awhile (a bridge to far and all that).

I may deploy them now if that is the case.
Do you know if they would also accrue Exp points if not in combat?

I believe (but have not tested) that they need to be in combat to gain experience points.
