Listened to the Audible version of Exorcist read by the actual author. Well worth a listen.

ORIGINAL: RFalvo69

I finished watching "The Haunting of Hill House" on Netflix. A very satisfying experience that put me in the mood for some Halloween readings:

Listening to Ken Follets "Fall of Giants" (first book in his epic trilogy starting in 1912 and going right through to the cold war)

Reading "The Astonished Earth: A novel of flight and legends" by C Beck (enjoying it so far, well researched historical fiction, set during WW1)

I never “had a thing” for her when I was in high school (and I was uninterested in “Dynasty”) My show to go was “Dallas”. Now, let’s talk about Linda Gray [8D]

Having got a taste for naval air warfare from reading Eagles over the Sea, I have decided its high time I read this (having previously tried twice and failed).

I don't know why I never got through this previously. What an excellent read. Unusually there are plenty of maps too! but sadly, these don't extend to the battles themselves which is a shame as there are a number of separate groups to be kept track of at various times.

So happy with this I've bought Malta Convoys 1940-1943 too to dive straight into once I'm done [:)]

How do you manage to store all those wonderful books, Warspite1?

Or do you 'eliminate' some of them after reading?

Fnarr, fnarr, I wrote boobs instead of books, but caught it before posting. [:D]

From time to time I have to have a clear out. I get Jeeves to load up one of the choppers and to fly them to one of the battlements in the west wing for storage.

I followed this lead and I got the Kindle edition.

I'm liking it a lot. The author doesn't start with Case White proper, but he first summarises the (very troubled) history of Poland from the XIV Century to the eve of the 1939 war - so to give context to the events that followed.

The style is pleasant, but rich in informations and details. There isn't a wasted word.

Kindle tells me that I have read 8% of the book, so my observations are based on this slice. But I'm very happy to have bought it.

Just finishing up Doctor Sleep by Stephen King. I'd started this thing years ago, got 2/3 of the way through and then set it aside due to real life. Forgot all about it until I'd seen the recent film coming out. Will finish it in time to see the film in the theaters.

Anyone enjoy Firefly??

Then go read this series, or I think even better listen to audible version. Loved it.
