Engineer Specialization bug

Post by Michael T »

When attacking with a unit with an Engineer the combat report is showing a 0.5 combat modifier.
It should be 0.25

Is this a just a reporting bug or is Engineering not working?

How come this has not been picked up yet? Don't people even look at reports?

Are you talking about combat logs?

Yes. And I just checked for Heavy Artillery. Same problem. The log is showing 1.2 for entrenchment when it should show 1.1

What is the point of the log if it doesn't reflect what's occurring?

Frankly I don't know what answer you want me to give. The data shown on the combat logs gives enough details of the battle. You know which units attacked.

That is a most unexpected response.

So you are saying as long as I get a report that tells me the final odds it's fine. If the rest of the information is erroneous it doesn't matter.

I am sorry, but a report should generate accurate info. If all you wish to report is the final odd's then don't show the other info if it's not right.

But can you at least confirm engineers and artillery actually work because the report is not reflecting that.

I just realized what you are asking. Micheal I read countless posts a day which occupies a fair amount of time. You need to be precise in what you are stating.

Saying this would have been more helpful so I knew exactly what you are talking about so I could fix it.

"In the combat logs when a unit is attacking across a river with an engineer specialization it shows x0.5 when it should show x0.75 for the specialization".

Now that I know what you mean I will add it to my list of fixes.

Surely you mean x0.25.

You need to also check the Artillery. It's reporting x1.20, it should be x1.10
