How is this game?

Warplan is a World War 2 simulation engine. It is a balance of realism and playability incorporating the best from 50 years of World War 2 board wargaming.

How is this game?

Post by Antmf_slith »

Hey guys just want to ask a quick question. Still fairly new to war gaming And I am wondering how war plan is? I do have War in the east and war in the Pacific but as it stands right now they are just a little too deep for me. I do not have the attention span to sit there for hours and or days planning a single turn LOL. So my question is can a new wargamer pick this up and get a grasp on it to have fun ?

WarPlan is a deep strategic level game that looks deceivingly simple only on the surface. But I would rank it one step below WiP/AE and also WitE in terms of complexity (though it is a while that I have played either of these two).

I will add it plays quick. I removed a lot of micromanagement.

Personally I think it's great.
Easy to pick up and play but with a lot of strategic depth.
My fave wargame in quite a few years.
