Northern Fury, H-Hour

Post by bladesinger79 »

Just about to get started on this. Fully understand that I'm going to lose Norway, only a question of how much damage I can do. I understand that my F-16s and F-5s are nothing more than MiG-bait. What I dislike is the complete lack of NASAMs. According to the research, they got started with a few in 1994, then fully implemented in 1998 with the HAWK batteries.

My question is this: Shall I just go with what the scenarios has and chalk it up as "War Ain't Fair!"

Or, add in a battery or two? Would anyone be upset, calling this cheating?

In any case, an AAR will be coming up. There is no possible way I can finish this in a day or two.

THIS is going to be fun. [:D]

Looking forward to this.

Regarding the NASAMS; when building this out I figured that since this occurs in Feb of 94 - they would be very few indeed. Also with the Olympics going on, any that would be available would be in place around Gardermoen or the Olympic sites - or much more likely still in the training schools. Some will appear in later scenarios.

Enjoy.

Gunner98, When looking through the details of my OOB, I noticed that some of the 400K liter underground fuel tanks begin with 93.8% damage. Tromso had two of them, Bardufoss had one. How did this happen? An oopsie? Or dastardly deeds done by Spetsnaz before the start of conflict? This can be fixed, just want to know why this happened.

It shouldn't be that way in H-Hour - there are quite a few damaged in later scenarios to simulate Sov airstrikes. Not sure why it would be like that - should not affect the play however as avgas does not get played.

Although the dastardly deeds done dirt cheep is a good idea... :-0

Hi bladesinger79

Are you playing an old version of H-Hour by any chance?
I remember a bug a few years ago that caused damage to ground units during rebuild but it have been fixed.

I just fired up H-hour and every thing looks right.
