Is BVR engagement logic option locked in scenarios?

For some reason I cannot change "BVR engagement logic" option for Air Intercept missions (in the few scenarios I tried) - it appears to be locked on "Inherited, Crank if possible". I can only change it in a "Quick Battle" generated scenarios.

Is this option locked in normal scenarios, depends on some other doctrine setting, or is it a bug?

Are you playing in editor mode? The ability to change doctrine settings is governed by the scenario designer, but you can over-ride this in editor mode.

If you're unable to change this setting in editor mode please provide a save file so we can investigate.

Ah, I see what you mean (I've just tried Editor mode, have never used it before).

No, was trying to change BVR eng. logic in regular game mode, apparently it was locked by scenario designer as you said. No problem in the editor.

Editor mode is one of the most wonderful things about this game… It is the only way I play… Because they rarely find a scenario that set up the way I would like it… But in editor mode I can manipulate things is it pleases me ....

I can imagine myself using the editor in the future for creating a brand new scenario, but otherwise I'd think it's going to spoil someone's else scenario if I use it for regular gameplay... I like to be surprised and discover scenario events by playing it.
