SC3 Map Scanner exe not working. Opens steam game

Trying to use the map scanner and have followed the instructions by dropping a file into
the Extras\Map Scanner\SC3MapScanner_Data\Resources\ folder. The map is within pixel limits and I've altered all the water to be (0000FF)

When I start SC3 Map Scanner.exe steam starts the game, and there's no sign that the map scanner is running.
I did try the app in the analogous folder of my War In Europe install and it worked.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi EPower,

I seem to have the same issue but it doesn't occur when I try and launch the Map Scanner from the Steam install of War in Europe. Must be how World at War was setup on Steam and I'll request that this be amended just not sure how long this will take to adjust.

If you also have War in Europe installed, it is essentially the same Map Scanner and that could be used instead to help you create a map for World at War instead.

Thanks Hubert. I do in fact have WIE as well so I made it work using that application.

Great and it looks like the WaW Map Scanner will be fixed/updated for Steam shortly as well.

"Create Map Indexes" button does nothing, but when I right-click on the .exe and run as administrator it works with no problem, hope that helps someone. I'm using Matrix edition not Steam, and only own WaW.
