Aircraft waypoints resized

Post by conrad44 »

Set up 4 waypoints for cap. Later I resized the cap waypoints into a smaller area. Aircraft wandered from the smaller area into the larger original defined area. How can I keep aircraft in a newly defined area ?

select the aircraft and press F3 to give them a path and just hit escape key instead of giving them a new path. Basically erasing there old path. The flight will pick up a path to the new area.

Or you can select path endpoint and hit delete key, have not tried this though.

Redefining a patrol (or support) area does not reset navigation that already exists. Once a unit hits the next point, or you manually reset the navigation as brdxman described, it should go to and remain in the resized area.

I resize patrol zones all the time with no issue. I just confirmed what eggstor said and it is that an aircraft will finish an existing path before rolling to the resized patrol zone.
