Smaller scenarios?

Post by MarechalJoffre »

I've sunk many hours into SC: WWI Classic, and continue to do so, mostly because of the amazing number of scenarios and campaigns it has. Allowing us to play situations like a Loos breakthrough to Russian Civil War, Siege of Kut, Kaiserschlacht and countless more. With great variety comes great replayability.

Now from what I know, this release is going to include 3 campaigns with two of them being set in 1914. In comparison to the older title, this seems a bit dull. I'm going to purchase the title regardless, yet it makes me wonder why the dev team has seemingly abandoned its old approach in modern installations of SC games and now solely concentrates on grand campaigns?

Hi

It would be great to do some smaller scenarios for WWI and we don't rule it out, as I really enjoyed designing those for our original WWI games. However, at the moment designing the main campaigns is very time consuming (the amount of detail under the hood in our new games is a lot more than it used to be) so we'll have to see. Having your support and interest certainly helps too. [:)]
