Operation Saved Game Problem

Post by Markowicz »

I started the Mateur operation and played Hill 305. Saved game for second battle loaded up normally. After 2nd battle was over at the debrief, I pressed next to see the next battle and went straight to the Command Screen. I tried to play the saved operation later that day. After selecting saved game at the command screen, I went straight to debrief from last game. I selected soldier screen and all the scrolling soldier info boxes om the left side are blank. Right side is fine. Hit next and a decision point box pops up. Either choice I make takes me straight back to the Command Screen. I really don't want to be a royal pain in the ass but this is extremely frustrating. Note: I had a successful Sbiba operation a couple of weeks ago (3 battles) two using 1.0.4 and the last one with 1.0.5 so I dunno??? Oh and on the Command Screen, saved game tab the game is marked completed.

Ok but I had to restore it from the recycle bin to the SAVES folder. It won't let me upload the saved game file. www.matrixgames.com says: C:\fakepath\Mateur 201911241425 is not supported. This is where the folder is: C:\Users\timma_ulwycpe\Documents\my games\CloseCombatTheBloodyFirst\SAVES. I wish I knew more about this kind of thing but at the present, I don't.

If you zip the file then rename to txt it should work IIRC. It is a foible of the ancient forum system. Alternatively if you run Dropbox or OneDrive then you can just create a link to the zip and post that.

Cheers
