Turkey

SO I decided to try to postpone Barbarossa until 1942 and instead invade Turkey in 1941 to have a short hop to the Caucasus. The initial invasion went great. The problem was when a Turkish unit would advance into a hex that I had flipped with a ZOC, the hex would be "recaptured" as Soviet controlled (as the Turkish units are nominally soviet controlled. Since I am still neutral with the Soviets, this creates some problems. I am unable to attack or move into the hex.

Great.

It does seem like an attack on Turkey should create a response by the Soviets. Either activating them or an annexation of territory lost to Turkey after WWI (Kars and the surrounding area) similar to the Poland.

If the Soviets annexed a hex line from 209,34 to 213,32 they would basically return territory that was lost. It would give the Soviets a short defensible line against a southern road to the Caucuses.

Unfortunately the soviet hex do not revert during conquest like I hoped. All the rail lines are blocked so I cannot see if there is a supply handicap to prevent Germany from seizing all the oil.
