Ok just got the game since it was on sale. Played the board game a long time ago. I have been going through tutorials and playing a test solitaire game to start figuring it out. But right off I need help on what I am doing wrong. I arranged my map and global map the way I wanted. I set up the screen and map view forms so my whole screen is covered making the best use of my viewable space. Then the other windows that have to open like combat and select units can open over the map. While giving orders all works fine. I saved the screen view and its in the list. I execute the phase and screen and map view windows resize and move. Always if it switches to another country but sometimes even when the phase ends and the next phase is still the same country. If I click my saved screen view the screen and map view windows DO NOT go back to how I had them set. Are they immune and just resize and move constantly?

It's difficult to answer this question, without a screen shot.

There is one possible problem which you might have encountered. That's the position of the Command Form. It has to be on the same monitor as the detailed map and it should not be in a corner of the screen, since that form dictates the position of the pop up screens.

Apart from that, there is the position of the Map Views (which I don't use), which needs to be located for each major powers separately.

I only have one monitor. The main command one is upper left and it and the map stay the size selected. They aren't the issue. Along the right side where I put the screen and map views they are the issue. As I execute through the turns the moving to new positions I solved by creating different screen views for each side. BUT they still resize on their own and it's not maintaining the size I set so I end up with gaps. That is what I was referring to.

Yes, I reported this issue 5 months ago, in this thread

No idea if it's been fixed yet in the next update, or not.

Note, the views are saved for each country. To get it like you want, you have to save it for every major power (like 7+ times when Vichy and Free France are present). I have also found that certain windows will not return to the saved views on start up, I have to manually retrieve the screen view. It would be nice to have a solitaire option so you would only have to save it once.

I did save it for each country to fix the changing position problem. But screen and map view forms change size even if each country has it's own save. It's like it sets the length based on the number of entries instead of what the size was when I saved it.
