Thank you. Could you put it on Steam please? If not. Would you mind if I put it up in your name?

I assume I put the files here?

\Steam\steamapps\common\Armored Brigade\data\database

Also, what happens when the game updates its DB?

I would be very cautious on this mod, unless maybe you use it with a clean install.

I have several custom databases, including Chechnya, that would not load due to missing flags, png, etc. And I installed the mod file by file.

Also, highly recommend two copies of your current game on different drives. This allows me to revert to a working install in case of modding problems.

Everything is self-contained in a custom database folder and its subdirectories (i.e. graphics) so unless you're doing something very wrong like overwriting the default DB I don't see how this could happen, especially breaking your install.

It did not break my install, fortunately. But...

If I dump Database_Comprehensive into my database folder, I get flag and/or png missing errors - simple as that.

It is also the only database I have with a separate Graphics folder along with the moddable files in the same folder.

I would also assume dumping the Graphics folder into AB's main Graphics folder would be a risky thing to do.

So curious what I'm doing wrong here.

My point is more it's pretty much impossible for it to break your install so having two copies on two different drives is a tad excessive.

Did you keep the graphics folder in the database folder it came in? The devs changed it a little while ago so that you can just keep new images for modded databases as subfolders in each DB folder instead of having to put things in the base graphics folder. You literally shouldn't have to do anything other than take the folder in the .zip on the first post and drop it in your databases folder. I tried it myself quickly now and all the flags seem to be showing up in my game so, are you sure you didn't move the graphics folder?

Okay, maybe it's because I'm running the 1.042 version?

I do have the 1.046 patch. But unlike every other Matrix patch I've used in 20 years, it defaults to C:\Armored Brigade, which is not where I have the game installed. It also says I have 1.046 installed already.

I would re-install and patch up, but I have four custom databases working nicely and would hate to lose them due to a compatibility issue.

Could be the patch version since I can't recall exactly when they added the DB file folder changes.

I can't think of any compatibility issues with customs DBs on newer patch versions. At least it sure as hell didn't affect anything in mine. The patch would only update the default DB, not your custom ones. If you're that worried though you could always just back them up temporarily.

I'll wait for a really significant patch and then give it a go. Everything you say makes perfect sense, but I did have an issue with my modded databases (no graphics), but that was a while back.

Nothing is more fun than creating or editing a database and then giving it a spin in-game. I will look forward to trying yours in the future. [;)]
