Hmmm, is anyone else having problems purchasing?

It's kind of strange that there are so few new posts when generally there are quite a lot just after release [&:][&:]

Hope this gets fixed quickly [:)]

Thanks

Sorry you had problems. Can you try again and see if it helps? Server load of the sale combined with the release might be putting a strain on things....

Matrix gives a discount if you buy all three SC3 titles at the same time.
Steam offers a discount when buying all three, or just WW1 if you already own the other titles.

I just paid Eur 15,- extra to support the dev SC3, I hope they get a better share, but even having a DRM free copy next to Steam leaves a bit of a dirty taste. This is on top of the higher exchange rate on Matrix and the general trend lately to push prices up again.

Yes, I know it is the sales season.
Yes, I am an ungrateful dog.

Now I will download WW1, and grumble about corporate greed etc.

Hi bullet911,

We should have just fixed the issue you were seeing, please retry the updater and it should now be working correctly.

Thanks and Happy Gaming!

rjh - support are telling me this is a credit card issue. Maybe some of the details you entered had a typo or its a card type Bluesnap doesn't like. If its a card you used before contact support, or try another card and they'll sort it out.

Hi Iain, thank you for getting back to me so quickly.

I don't think it has to do with my credit card since I participated in the beta and got a BIG coupon which I thank you for and I really appreciate.
Besides recently I used my annual anniversary coupon and payed with my credit card without any issues.

I can open a ticket if you think its necessary.

Thank you for your help.

Hmm I didn't know that. I don't mind giving the developers an extra $10 to support the game but I do think the discount should have been across all platforms.

Thanks for your support and attempt to support us as developers more directly by purchasing through Matrix... these are still in the end very niche games considering the wider market, and every little bit helps to ensure that we can continue to make these kinds of games for everyone. It is always appreciated! [:)]

The corporate greed part was a bit overdone in this context, but I was in a grumbling mood.

Hope you do well Hubert, loving the game, although I am having a difficult time getting the balance right on 4 fronts at the same time (6 if I add the naval component and I am not even looking at research and diplomacy). Hardest SC3 game so far in the opening phase, imo plays different compared to the classic WW1 title.

Again well done,

Worth the full price of admission.

...and although I feel bad for the original artist who did a very good job, it must be repeated that IronX did an exceptional job with his graphics mod - really stunningly nice graphics that help deliver the right atmosphere.

Happy (grumblin’) camper!

Hi Simulacra53,

Thanks and we appreciate the positive feedback as well [:)]

In fact, I'm going to quote some of the above in response to another thread in the Steam forums for one player that is on the fence as to whether the game engine handles WWI well at all [8D]

The more I play WW1 the more I like it.
It is a very good game.

OT - any chance you’ll add a divisional level scenario like Race to Paris in the old WW1?
