Best way to clear a minefield?

You just have to run into it with your ships? Is there a better way that does not cause damage? Subs?

Currently there are no minesweepers but as each country is limited in the number of mines they can lay, until this increases with further Naval Warfare research levels achieved, players do have to plan their placement carefully in a strategic sense.

I see is there any type of ship that takes less damage going into them or is it all the same?

At present it is all the same with I believe a random hit within the range of 2 to 5 strength points.

Motor Torpedo Boats are the cheapest ship to detonate a naval mine. Destroyers are my second choice.
