Countries surrender but their counters remain on the map

I played some TOAW III scenarios on TOAW IV, and found this annoying bug. For example, after Poland surrendered when Warsaw is captured by Germany, their armies are still on the map and are able to attack or defend. Shouldn't them disappear? Anyway to solve this issue?

Army's are withdrawn by event, so you need to check events to determine what is going on.

I always had problems when running TOAW 3 scenarios in TOAW 4, there are always events that get broken. After conversion you really need to check them one by one to see if they are still working. Sometimes it's pretty irrelevant stuff, otherr times it's stuff like what you found.
