Partisan Question

Post by jcrohio »

Just conquered Russia and have two questions.

1. Are partisans still an issue in Russia after they have been conquered? Do you need to maintain divisions on Partisan duty and if so I assume just to guarantee shipment of resources?

2. Should there be Partisans in Iran? Working through the Caucus and Iran/Iraq to get to the Mideast and for a long while no Partisans. All of sudden one sprung up in Iran. Is this correct?

Thanks

Partisans are always. Just because Stalin was executed by the SS doesn't mean the people won't rise up against your brutal treatment of them.

There should be no land unit partisans in Iraq or Iran but there are pissed off Arabs who got invaded by you after you promised them help.

Thanks for the answer. In Iran, I meant the kind of partisan that just destroys your railroads. I guess it makes sense that railroad destruction can happen in Iraq/Iran as it happens everywhere else. The only place I don't think I have seen this happen is Poland.

One other Partisan question. What is the difference when a rail hex destroyed by Partisans has a red tint with the symbol in the center as opposed to a rail hex with the red tint with the symbol in the center AND a supply number.

Thanks

The number is just how much map supply is there regardless of rail.

Rail lets a continuous map level 9 supply.

By the way it should be implemented that on liberation there are no partisans.

IE - If UK invades Iraq, but later on Axis arrives and liberates Iraq from UK, Axis still gets partisans. (Same thing should happen for Baltic states and in general anything about that goes that way)

I rather think any foreign nation that stays in Iraq would have to deal with partisans - unless - the occupied nation joins the faction, Allies or Axis.

If there is no occupying nation then partisans can be quiescent.

Just my guess as to the feelings of the occupied nation.

How about anti-Soviet Baltic States partisans? Both from 1939-41 *and* after Russian lib ... er, reconquest ...

Or anti-Soviet Ukrainian partisans after reconquest?
