Winning as Germany?

Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

Winning as Germany?

Post by Novaliz »

Is there any chance of "winning" with Germany? And are there also smaller scenarios like WITE? I am considering buying the game.

in the grand campaign, you most likely 'win' by surviving long enough, but there are things you can do on the way as allied success in bombing and the speed they take key cities (& their losses) are all factored in.

vs the AI you might win by stalemate, destroy any landings etc but even then you can't invade say the UK.

There are lots of scenarios, would also recommend the Torch dlc. Some of the N African ones are gems, low density, poor supply - you can learn a lot. Some of the main game scenarios are pretty essential to learning elements of the game (like the impact of tactical airpower)
