Possible Bug or Exploit while transporting troops

Post by ago1000 »

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this one before.
It is possible to deliver troops to a location (have 0 op points remaining) and hit the undo button and the troops will load up again with 2 op points back on the fleet. I've moved troops from England to Egypt on one turn.
Example:
1) Loaded a 5x5 UK inf at Cardiff
2) transport it to Gibraltar (No troops or fleets are in the Gibraltar port)-I usually move them one hex over with 1 op pt remaining. This way i can move them back when I finish moving all my troops through.
3) Unload the troops at Gilbraltar.
4) Hit the UNDO button at the top
5) The unloaded troops will then load back on the fleet with 2 op points.
I repeated the steps above moving the troops to Malta and then into Egypt. Once again, the ports had no troops or fleets in them. Seems to work best that way.

Well that's interesting.

That is a bug. I will take a look at that. Thanks for finding it.

This might be an old bug and you have a previous version.

I loaded a unit to a fleet.
Used 2 Opts to move to an empty (of men and ships) gibraltar
unloaded the land unit
hit UNDO and the unit went back on the fleet with ZERO opts.

Which is correct.

I'm running the latest update. version 1.00.04. Started a new game too. I'll see if I can video tape it for you. I'll remove any mods to make sure it effects the stock game. At the moment I've only changed the counters to the round airplane counters.

Hope this works. This is the link to the video. If this was a bug in the past I'm wondering if my program has truly been updated then. Note the video does show the update 1.00.04 Note: 1 min 42 seconds into video a begin the exploit.

Thanks Alvaro.
