Decisive victories only?

I'm in 1943 in my marathon game as the Allies against the Axis AI. Great fun, but wow, it's taking me a long time -- 87 hours /played now. Some of that AFK, but still a lot.

Anyway, I'm wondering whether there are any victories other than the "decisive" win conditions mentioned in the info screen for the 1939 scenario. Those conditions say the Axis wins decisively if it controls everything from London and Manchester to Delhi and Moscow. Conversely, the Allies win if they control all the Axis capitals. Are there no intermediate victory conditions? Is it decisive win or draw?

It's not a big deal; I play mostly to fight WW2, not to earn a particular level of victory. But I'm curious all the same. Thanks in advance!

Yes there are. The last page of the Strategy Guide lists them in some detail and so even if you can't win a Decisive Victory, it may still be possible to get a win. Have a look and direct your strategy accordingly!

In case you're not sure how to access it, the Strategy Guide is available either via the launcher or from one of the buttons at the top right of the screen while playing.

As of now, it's January 1943, and things are roughly historical, which is very cool. The Germans are at the gates of Stalingrad but still haven't taken it. They're close to Moscow and Leningrad, too. Japan is close to Chungking and about to take Sian. China is the theater I worry about most. The US has taken Kwajalein and just fought a big carrier battle there; the outcome was more like Coral Sea than Midway. The Brits almost lost Cairo but are still hanging in there, and the US is conducting an Operation Torch that may be helping.

I'm amazed at how many hours it's taking me. At game start, turns went fast, but it gets more involved as the war progresses. How long does it take for you to play a complete campaign game against the AI?
