If you are losing CVs to SSNs you are a world of hurt [:D]

If you ever play the Nasty, Nasty Ironman, you will believe in SSN's in the game. They never miss, you can't hit them, and they seem to have endless torp supply. [;)]

pure gold Pax. Thank you
Questions of course.
In refresh game I thought I was doing well in China, trying to achieve the magic highway, but don't think
it was working. Do you have to capture the rail line and south? (Nanning to Changsha) Are you paying PP's?
Any thread links to this subject? I was paying PP's and in the process of moving into position for taking that rail line.
Probably could have had it by mid march.
The big question, for playing 17 or scen 1 data is engines on the R+D side.
What did you allocate? 2each? Ha-60x2 45x2 44x2 43x2
Playing Scen 2 vs Ai currently

Magic Highway: been a lot of posts on this through the years, you'll have to search back 3 - 8 years on it. Resources/Oil/Fuel flow from Singers all the way east to PA or Fusan or Shanghai (Choose one and only one). You want to read the discussions as they were passionate and detailed and repeated several times over the years. I prefer not to resurrect them again.

PP's: Depends upon the game and the side. I'm testing a new Ironman for Andy AI now playing allies and paying PP's.

I haven't looked at s17 so I don't know. All of my comments are always based upon s1 unless I specifically state otherwise. That just so that there is a common reference. Strategy is Strategy. I rarely discuss specific tactics much because I play against the AI and tactics are quite different between the AI and PBEM.

In general, engines are pretty easy.
Early engines: never more than one, and generally they are all converted on Dec7 to something else. Amakaze for Glen is the only general exception.
Ha-3x : what is the minimum factories that I can build up that will meet my production goals. Rarely more than 7 total (mix varies), less if I can but really depends upon AC strategy.
Ha-4x. First off based upon my model choices what do I need to build. Generally Ha-45 and Ha-43 … for these I want as many factories on each for several reasons:
1. these are my late war engines, I need them dispersed so I don't lose production early.
2. I want engine bonus ASAP as I will have many RnD factories depending upon it.
3. I know I cannot possibly build too many. These engines in the bank are just as good as ARM/VEH. Better than HI in the bank because they can't be bombed and are ready to use.
