[Logged, Save Requested] Refueling issues

Post by BeirutDude »

Encountered two refueling issues.

1. In the Fiery Cross Reef Scenario I'm working on the PLAN Task Groups drain their Oiler leaving her dead in the water.

2. Aerial Refueling is very hit or miss. I can have units of the same type/load out on the same mission and one group will refuel and the other will not refuel for anything! Lost 5 F-18Bs with tankers flying alongside them at the same altitude and absolutely no adjustment on the refueling setting could get them to drink off the tankers. Guys you made aerial refueling to complicated. There needs to be a safety that if an aircraft is at bingo fuel and any tanker is within their bingo range they override the other setting and accept them. Its crazy to be at 36K looking at a tanker and refusing to refuel!

Are aircraft refusing to refuel even if you specifically instruct them in "Refuel->Select Provider Manually"?

Not anymore, it was written over.

Here is what I noted. The Missions were started with "Not Allowed"
Then when the aircraft needed to refuel I changed them to "Allow" and "Pick nearest," nothing.
Then changed the mission to "Allow" and "Pick between object or RTB," and manually chose the tankers. One group drank and the others refused
Then changed the group setting, Nada!
then went to individual units and some refueled and others just flew on to electronic deaths.

Bottom line the issue seems to be with switching from a refueling setting from the get go on the mission to from none to allow. Next time I encouter it I will send you a save.
