I played one of the first Omaha scenarios some time ago and I no longer continued with the other scenarios. Now I am playing the biggest scenarios and they are very good, but they are very hard, very difficult to win.

The bunkers are almost indestructible, only for their backside with tanks or anti-tank weapons is it possible to eliminate them, and in some scenarios you don't have such weapons or there are very few, so you have to suffer the bunkers all over the scenario.

I would have preferred that the bunkers had been structures on the map, only accessible from the back side, so that they could be assaulted in close combat. And place within them infantry units and equipment that can be reduced by direct fire.

Anyway the scenarios are extraordinary and spectacular, I don't win, almost none scenario, but they are very fun and exciting. Congratulations Mr. Asl3d, great job!

I'm glad you like Omaha scenarios.

Yes, they are difficult, but they were also very hard for the US soldiers who landed that morning on the beaches. The German infantry were not elite troops, but the defenses were formidable.

Regarding the bunkers you are also right: they're almost indestructible. The way to attack them is just as you say. That's the correct tactic (but isn't easy).

The bunker concept requires an explanation. In these Omaha scenarios, the bunkers have been used for the first time in Heroes and Leaders mod. In the design phase, I wanted to respect the concept of the restricted Covered Arc of the Squad Leader and/or Advanced Squad Leader bunkers. It wasn't easy to get it. In the end, the solution is somewhat paradoxical. Very complicated for my liking, but at least it worked with the requirements. I tried to avoid deploying units in there because you cannot enter or exit the bunker hex. In some scenario there's an artillery observer or a Leader inside, but they're condemned to keep the entire scenario confined in that structure.

They work but they're ugly and complex.

For Grossdeutschland and Partizani we have other bunkers. They do not meet the requirement of the restricted Covered Arch but they're automatically generated with the "hot keys", they can be exited through the tunnels network and they can have units inside, just as it was in reality. But, .... they're also difficult to eliminate.

By the way, you have to change the pontoons classic "cardboard" counters. I had to add a armor factor of 9 so that they there aren't easy to destroy. The pontoon is still working but it's absurd that the pontoon is destroyed and that the units can continue advanced through it.
