Suggestion: indicator enemy unit out of supply

Warplan is a World War 2 simulation engine. It is a balance of realism and playability incorporating the best from 50 years of World War 2 board wargaming.

Suggestion: indicator enemy unit out of supply

Post by PanzerMike »

Currently I pocketed quite a number of Russian units in my game. I am pretty sure they are cut off from supply, but there is no way of being certain in some cases. I get that FOW hides their strength and all, but I guess in real life you DO now if there are still open supply lines to pocketed units. So I would advocate a marker that indicates an enemy unit is not receiving supply. Good idea or not? Share your thoughts.

Too much info about the enemy; I'd prefer it as it is now, where the player has to judge from the terrain/location of supply cities, whether the enemy is in supply.

I agree with GWG. It's fine as it is now to guess how the supply lane of the enemy works.

If their strength starts dropping you know they are running out of supplies. WarPlan isn't a min-maxing game. There is a lot of feel to it. I try and put you in the commander's seat with their experience.
