Request for a New Hotkey

Post by cthulhu1928 »

I've gotten a game in on each campaign now and have been really enjoying how things are going.

One thing I've noticed that I think could make a huge difference in terms of reducing the necessary number of clicks required each turn would be to add a hotkey to max out reinforcing a unit. Alternatively, if the unit is at full strength, the hotkey should add an elite reinforcement.

Would this be possible to implement? I'm pretty sure it would save dozens of clicks each turn.

I tried to think of a way to use hotkeys with entrenching/upgrading but that seems like it would not work given the variables involved.

Hi

There is a reinforcement tool that if you're not already using it could reduce the number of clicks considerably.

It can be found on the right hand side of the various icons that appear above the combat predictions panel at the bottom of the screen.

There's also an upgrade tool, among other things. The ones on the left hand side only work when you have a unit selected, the ones on the right only work when you don't have a unit selected.

Woops! I suspect I've missed this in every single Strategic Command game! That definitely helps quite a bit, thanks for the pointer!

This is probably not the place for this, but the hotkey that I always find myself missing is the one that calls up the previous turn's MPP summary.

What I really want to know when figuring out what to do next (and usually no longer remember by the time I get to the planning phase) is how many MPP's came in from the different sources.

There's already an L key for a summary of losses, if it's too much trouble to create a new hotkey, maybe just add the income summary onto the existing losses key.
