The scenario is Hailstone's Stand at Shestakov and it can be found under the Submitted Scenario section Post # 1085.
Stand at Shestakov
Near Stalingrad, Thursday, December 17, 1942: The 57 Panzer Corps' attempt
to relieve Stalingrad had reached the river Aksay, only 45 miles away from the
besieged 6th Army. The 23rd Panzer Division, severely weakened by the intense
fighting, had managed to seize several bridgeheads on the Askay at Kruglyakov
and Shestakov. At this point, the Soviets launched a series of strong attacks
aimed at destroying the bridgeheads, one which came at Shestakov, held only by
an engineer battalion.
Game Length: 6.5 turns
I'm playing as the Russians and in the screenshot below it is the German Administrative Phase of Turn 5.
As you can see I am getting my fanny handed to me by the German A/I. I have taken 6 victory point building hexes for a current Russian Minor Loss.
I have already lost three T-70 tanks to enemy fire. There is also an immobilized T-34 off board to the bottom that failed its mechanical reliability check in Turn 2.
In the white circle there was a critical hit during the German Turn 4 Defensive Fire Phase by the iG-75 Infantry Gun that rubbled the building and whacked 2 Russian 1st Line Squads. Ouch!!
I also lost a melee in Turn 4 at the center building where the German 8-1 Leader is stationed. Loosing 2 1st Line Squads in that fiasco.
With only 6.5 turns in the scenario it is doubtful I will even get a draw.
Very tough scenario Hailstone, nice work on its design!!
