i remember playing Battletech on the Amiga way way back and that game rocked considering its pixel graphics and 4 color scheme. the gameplay is still the core of the game, indeed!
i also remember playing Battletech and what made fighting with the other mechs so so cool is the tiny bit of window that pops up showing this animation of an enemy mech's arm being torn off or its leg blowing to pieces or a fellow comrade ejecting from a mech - and it was sort of like just a .gif animiation like comics style but players just cant wait to see these tiny bits of animation that adds to the feel of playing the game! also, it featured the protagonist (i forget his name) in a cockpit at time doing all these expressions while in battle.
these tiny 'lil things add to the RPG visual elements of the game
i could just imagine if TOS:WS has this 'lil amazing feature - (besides all the amazing suggestions on the "What you'd like to see" thread) these tiny animations that just brings life to the these cutesy-tootesy 'lil mechs on the screen!
also, itd be wonderful in campaigns if voice-overs were available for the mission briefings and all that. adding more ambient sound to the game would simply skyrocket the game to amazing heights - adding to the fact that TOS itself is a game of imagination as you try to visualize a battle being done in turns!
a nice feature would also be a REPLAY feature in which after every battle, player has the option see to see the entire battle in REAL-TIME and look over mistakes, fluent mech movement and just basically see the entire event unfold in real-time before his/her eyes. thatd be awesome!
