Can carriers air attack in bad weather ? I got the message 'no more than 9 ships in a fleet' when I tried.

That's a move out of port message. I'll look into it. CVS can't attack from port or in bad weather

OK, so correct that they could not attack, just the wrong message.

Can a CV attack an enemy fleet that has moved by 'night'?

Because it happened to me to get smacked by CV fleet parked in front of the port. I was thinking to be able to get out of port and attack it as they came so close!

I looked into the message. Are you sure you didn't try and MOVE more than 3 carriers in the same fleet? The system checks for valid weather attacks before marking hexes for attack. So that message only appears if you move out of a port with more than 3 carriers to the same hex or move a fleet into a hex in which the total is more than 3 carriers.

Started out with 4 carriers in a port.
I did try and move with 4 carriers but the move was rejected.
Then I split the fleet in two and did a valid move.
Then when I tried to do the carrier attack got the message.

What was the target, was the hex lit red? I assume the weather was heavy rain.

Target was a sub, heavy rain.
I don't remember seeing it red but am not sure, not something I was looking for.

Funny enough I just had the same message for something similar. I know what to fix now.
