Active convoy lanes

Post by DTomato »

There are convoy lanes marked on the map. Are they all active (resources being shipped), or are some active or some not? If not, is there a way to see which ones are active, so we know where to place submarines?

Look at the convoy panel, it should give you the info you're looking for.

I think he want to know what enemy convoy lanes are active so you know where to move your subs. I would like to know that too and you don't see it in the convoy screen.
I simply always place my subs on the atlantic route. That one is always active it seems. But I only know that because I keep sinking merchants there. But I can not see it on the map.
Or am I missing something too?

The active routes for allies are south and north Atlantic, the pan American one and the Caribbean one. Easiest way to know is to fire up the game and start as allies the chart will show you active lines.
Favoritism is alive and well here.

Does anyone ever see anything except "0" resources on the convoy route info box?

But players can also suspend convoys like the African Coast, right?

I sometimes see 25 resources when clicking on the Baltic route for the Axis. But I am not sure this is consistent. Sometimes it says 0 while the northern iron ore route (via Norway) also says 0. But I would have look closer to be sure.

Yes, they can. So it would be nice to have some kind of intelligence that reports what convoy lanes appear to be in use, so you can send your subs.

I believe if there is a line, then it is an active route. The destination ports indicate who is getting the convoy. The North Atlantic route looks totally different when Germany executes operation SeaLion and is successful. The pic here shows the North Atlantic Route for the Germans and the Allies. The destination is how I tell. If there is a line and it enters a Russian port, then it is an active convoy route. Not active, you simply see those little ship icons.
