Other than fighters, always my first choice, what other types do people find most useful?

Recon Bombers are great for increasing the firepower of artillery. They also spotting units behind your artillery target, preventing a surprise encounter when one advances after combat. They can also attack ships. The Russian Bomber is great in Anatolia for decreasing the supply of Ottoman cities and towns, making combat better and converting a kill with a rebuild discount into a total kill at full MPP cost. If I can spare the MPP's, Maritime Bombers are useful in small sea areas like the Baltic, Black or Adriatic Seas.
