Matrix on the Geek

Post by MPHopcroft1 »

Videogamegeek is one of a family of linked websites that include Boardgamegeek and RPGGeek. They are all integrated into a single entity commonly referred to as simply "The Geek". And one of its features is a massive database of game listings that can be sorted and referenced to in other parts of the site.

But there are holes in the database for computer wargames. The two most recent games in the Strategic Command series do not have listings, although Strategic Command: WWII in Europe does. Listings are usually done by third parties, which might explain their absence.

Would anyone like to help remedy this situation?

Are you asking somebody to write a review of the games? A description of the games? With screenshots? How much has to be written about games that are missing from listings?

Just entries into their databases. what would needed would be information about the basic structure of the game (genre, subject, how many players, OS and the like) and a description that is usually copied from the advertising copy. As appropriate picture rounds out the entry.

Wargames have a substaial presence on the boardgame part of the site. On the videogame side? Not so much.
