Update Prevents Game Launch

I am attempting to install my game on a new Windows 10 computer. Downloading PC Installer 1.01 results in a functioning game. However, updating with either of the 2 versions of 2.02 that appear in my account /downloads wrecks things. I get a non-functional start menu.

Any suggestions?

Problem solved with installation of vcredist_x86.exe as suggested in another thread.
