Clicking in the top left corner of the screen.

Post by ago1000 »

Just wondering if this is happening to anyone else. When a unit is just under the date, you can't click on it to display the unit information. However when you scroll the screen over and down a bit, there are no issues. Just wondering if this might be a my computer problem. Thanks everyone in advance.

I tested this and it seems fine to me.

Thanks for being so fast Alvaro. I'm gonna check over my graphics setting. It seems to occur often when I zoom all the way in. It doesn't effect game play and I've gotten use to it. Thanks again.

I find a "dead zone" directly under the icons between the "Advancements" and "deploy" where you cannot click on the screen or units.
As if there is a "ghost" image of a unit details box - it corresponds exactly with the unit details box.

my advice would be to alter the screen size and re test,

if using windows 10, see if it's a windows scaling issue and again turn on or off, and re test,

tbh can't reproduce the effect on windows 10 on my install at

User DPI Setting: 120 DPI (125 percent)
System DPI Setting: 144 DPI (150 percent)

on my default Current Mode: 1920 x 1080 (32 bit) (60Hz) with windows scaling on or off.

if you can reproduce, printing the settings may help others reproduce, then understand why it's happening etc

so windows version, and build number
res used, DPI settings etc etc, the more the better then others can test on the same settings and try and reproduce and understand why or what may cause it, good luck

Yes. I've have a video link for you. Where the mouse is I'm clicking. You will see for some reason underneath the date it won't open the information screen. Lucky me. lol. Time to buy a lottery ticket. Thanks again. The game works no probs otherwise.

That is definitely something on your end with the Mac. I 100% can't replicate that.

Could you post a screen shot of your options settings please. Also the resolution you are using. I assume this is at least v3.

The info you requested is in the attachment above. The game runs fine so there are no worries and this is definitely not pressing. Thanks everyone for taking a look.

I ran all sorts of testing. I thought one the settings might be creating a background GUI mishandling of mouse position but it isn't on my end. I can't replicate this. Try turning off the DPI settings and using the in game scaler.

I ran at your resolution windowed
Full screen
All sorts of options on/off

None of this should affect it but occasionally there is a fat fingered code in there that does.

I'll keep an eye out and look at the code. At the moment I can't imagine why. I know how it looks at the UI to see if you are on or off. It is just a flag when the unit is selected.

Thanks again Alvaro for looking at it. However, this is not a issue at all for me. The program runs super and I just need to at time scroll over a bit. I was just wondering if this was a game thing or my computer thing. A my computer thing, I will look at my end and if I find something I will let you know. Again. Thank you.
