Error in Application_Startup!

Hi, I'm playing on Steam on a Win10 laptop. When I startup CMO, i get an error window with the title:

Error in Application_Startup!

The text in the window says:

Error found during application startup. Error details: Conversion from string "Error in Application_Startup!" to type 'Interger' is not valid.

When I close the error box, it goes away, but the game just sits on the main screen, without ever brining up the menu. I tried verifying the files on steam, the first time it brought up ~300 corrupted files, so I updated the game, it did the same thing. I verified the files again, this time it just found one error, so I deleted the game and reinstalled it through steam. I'm still having the same issue. I was playing earlier today with no issues. I've rebooted both my laptop and the steam client.

Any ideas?

I'm fairly certain this is resolved in the current public beta, can you please give it a try? Thanks.

I just tried installing the openbeta and running the game. I got an error "Error found during beta application startup. Error details: Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

It's too late for me to mess with it, i'll try the basic stuff like rebooting Steam tomorrow.
