One NAV2 provide ground support to the Japanese attack. Germany adds no support.

Look out, Allies, der Wunderwaffe are running ahead of schedule in this war. They are almost ready, as revealed by this slip-up in Axis comms accidentally being revealed.
No clue what this is meaning. [&:] [:)]

Just riffing on the idea of Germany supporting the Japanese attack with their UFO counters from the future.

Nice one for the allies.

I was able to play World in Flames all day yesterday. It was Glorious. Speaking of which, we had some epic Biplane vs. Biplane action as Italian Falcos repeatedly attempted to defend the Kriegsmarine berths in Bordeaux from Fleet Air Arm Gladiators and Swordfish.

The Swordfish almost always win in the end. The Japanese attaches were quite impressed.

41 MJ i8 (allies) after rail move:
China shuffles a few units around and puts the 2nd corp into Sihkiang in case Japan decides to try for a coup de main on the city. A chicom cav dashes east toward the rail line but flips OOS.

In Russia, the Red Army falls back again and positions itself with an eye toward a possible Axis double impulse. There are not enough units to counter every possibility so some hard choices must be made. One goal is to try to get at least Vitebsk & Leningrad out. Kiev is railed to Archangel this impulse but Odessa has been trapped so every factory now needs to be saved if possible. A decision had to be made this impulse about whether to rail Timoshenko from Omsk or send a Siberian army. The Siberian Army was railed to Gomel in the end so that Yeremenko can re-org it. The Siberians may be needed south of Vitebsk or along the Dnieper next impulse. If SU gets another impulse Timo can be railed. This was not a decision lightly taken since having Timo faceup for JA 41 turn is important to potentially reorg ground flipped armies, and to provide supply north of Smolensk. But Koniev arrives in JA so hopefully the Red Army can manage if Timo doesn't get a chance to rail west this turn.

There aren't enough units available to hold the Narva River line, block the Finn Ski division, and hold the area west of Vitebsk in sufficient strength so the army holding the Narva line gives up part of the river line to fall back toward Leningrad.

In the south the area north of Kiev is held in strength and 2nd fighter army is positioned near Kiev while Yeremenko re-orgs an army in Gomel and 2 in Kiev. Both stacks exposed to panzer attack have an ARM + AA/AT so can't be blitzed this impulse until Guderian HQA closes up to the line after leading the assault on Cernauti last impulse. A bomber army is flown from Persian garrison duty into Ukraine to support defenses along the west bank of the Dnieper.

A German o-chit at any point could really disrupt the Soviet defenses as could one of the patented Axis good attack rolls that we've seen too many of.....but the Red Army defense is at least fairly strong for the next German impulse with some defense in depth near Vitebsk, Kiev, and along the lower reaches of the Dnieper.

File is sent to Axis for them to make the EOT roll. Allies are of course hoping for it to end as an Axis double impulse would really hurt.

A short, cold, wet summer turn removed the remaining chance for Axis to win the war. A victory is now perceived to be beyond hope. All that remains for Axis is to avoid losing the war.
