when i finnish my battle in long campiagn i repiar my lost or damaged tanks then i notice that the crew are still there as well as a completly new crewed tank this gets messy as you go from having 5 or so units to a group to heaps .after the 4th battle i now have still 5 pzIIIs and 4 extra crews which i have converted into hmgs.this unit has lost at least 4 tanks including most crews over the last 5 battles what gives .also the sopport units in the generated campiagns follow you into the next battle free.still a good game but i want to play fear many thanks for doing your best with what you have i don,t envy your task.

I think I read that if you attach the crews to your HQ (A0) that they will go away. (guess the boss sends em back into combat rotation.. :-) As for support units following you, ALL SP games did this. Each game had a "cap" for core units, in SP1 it was 24, Sp 2 something like 100, SP3 something like 200. In this one, each side can have 400 units, but I THINK the cap is around 100. So, if you have say, 60 units, and 60 support units, the "top" 40 support units on the list will be absorbed into the core to fill it to the cap. (In SP1, this could be used to get more expensive hardware, more quickly... :-)
