odd stuff need answer

so I have this game versus computer trying to learn the allied side.

I invade in 44 and as I break out I get these following 2 maps:

Then the third map is really odd.

without fully cutting off the Germans in France, I see these hexes have flipped sides without allied unit getting near.

I've invaded northern France

So, has the free French freed this port. That is my only explanation

I launch second northern France invasion, with airborne drops.

So I dropped in this Airborne unit. Seems to be in the same hex with a German HQ. Maybe we have them surrounded.

That is not my only explanation for this one. lol

1 and 2 look like the impact of the partisan rules, 3 your paras lost the landing battle and displaced. In the main don't drop < divisional strength if there is any chance of having to fight on landing - even a HQ has enough capacity to beat off a regiment

I meant: look at the green pop up box -- its showing the 507th para regiment and the german LXXXXVII Corp hq as being in the same hex? And its now a US airbase.

oh and thanks on the French partisan answer. I have not gotten near reading those rules.
