A bit Steamish

Post by goodwoodrw »

I have been a customer of Matrix for a long time now and have bought most of my games from them. Just seeing the release promo of Panzer Corps 2, I couldn't help thinking I was on the Steam sight, "Order now get free content and get to play earlier on a two day trial." So gimmickie, Matrix you don't need to do that. I'll miss out on the free stuff as I will buy the game in my time and be penalised. Just for the record I own just about every product of PC 1 not to mention all of Panzer General stuff as well.

Good point, how come it's not sold through Matrix or Slitherine?

I wasn't suggesting its not being sold on Matrix, just trying to make a point that the advertising is very un Matrix

I'm no mind reader, but I don't think demyansk meant that [:)]. I understand that the pre-order is available via Steam and also GOG but I do wonder why it's not available directly through the Slitherine or Matrix stores. I was ready to "go for it" but I'm holding off until I can pre-order that way or at least understand why it has to be through the former route, if that's the case. It seems to me to be a bit an unusual approach.

I don't think the Matrix/Slitherine store can handle pre-orders. Ian did post on the Slitherine site that there are no current plans to have it, but will update if that changes.

Correct waffle, I was just wondering about the typical release of games on matrix, since Steam takes a big cut. It's all good, still playing Panzer Korps.

My biggest gripe about buying Matrix/Slitherine games from Steam or GOG is that they are not added to the list of the games I own at my Matrix/Slitherine My Page section.

I really, really don't like that. [:@]
