US setup of cargo ships, Global war

Post by btd64 »

Can someone shed some light on US cargo ship distribution in the Pacific to keep the Japanese happy at game start? IE: how many cargo ship points go into the sea areas west coast to Japan???? Or point me to the section in the manual....GP

5 to each sea zone for Japanese trade agreements.

1 for Alaskan oil to be shipped to mainland USA.

3 to Caribbean sea.

I want to point out CW convoy lines too. I have copied ideas from others.

Send one Australian resource to Canada.
Burma oil is saved in Rangoon port and used every turn for reorg.
Send 1 NEI oil to Singapore and use it every turn for reorg. Another NEI oil is saved to India to port where you have garrison unit.
East Med and West Med convoy for Cyprus recourse until Italy joins the war.

This makes all factories produce maximum amount and all others oils are saved.

Convoy at Persian Gulf is not needed, it is there for the future.

Convoy at Red Sea is not for resources but to keep units in Egypt in supply.

Are there enough points for 5 points in that many sea areas? Can I use the Japanese points as well?....GP

Japs must place 5 convoys to Japanese Coast.

Yes there is enough. US uses almost all or all convoys. When US entry action is taken to send less resources to Japan, US sends some convoys back to ports.

Also remember 3 to Caribbean or you lose 3 oils from Venezuela.

15 convoys start in Hawaii. Those should be used to for the Japanese-US trade agreement.
