it's totally random where they move or better say jump to when they accumulate the 45 miles and their way is blocked and I know nobody is going to fix anything

I'm going to watch more carefully in my games for this, but to date (+10 years) I have never seen this specific action.

oh yeah, that makes sense of course. All these bases I'm abandoning only have 2-400 supplies as long as the small garrison units are there and go down to 0 the turn after the units left

that's exactly what I think too, within the next two months I expect Chungking to fall at the latest, 7000+ IJA av and 500 IJAAF medium bombers are operating against the base

we're definitely in good shape, our biggest losses are 3 fleet DDs and that's about it

armored spearhead has reached Imphal together with some artillery, infantry units coming in the next days... while I've thought Imphal would only have second line units we were really delighted to also see division sized units and even India Command is at Imphal... being a jungle hex and the enemy having had lots of time to build forts this won't be an easy target but we can employ up to 8000 av against the base with another 1500 av as reserve so I have no doubts we will destroy all these units here which will be another big blow to the Allied as we will have destroyed something like 3500 av worth of Commonwealth troops, something the enemy won't recover from until very late in the war if he ever does depending on his further attacks... we weren't able to employ the airforce against Imphal due to heavy flak at the base so I expect the enemy to sit behind level 5 or even 6 forts... the base is fully surrounded so there is no way for the enemy to retreat to...

there we go, the enemy is forced to retreat again and there's no hope to break the siege of Chungking if there aren't any teleporting units anymore... enemy was later spotted to be marching away from Chungking so I guess Mundy has given up on Chungking, just waiting for the base to fall... to be honest, there's nothing the Chinese can do anymore other than to lose their remaining bases in the next couple of months... 450 bombers were set to attack the Chinese in this wooden hex and their units don't even get a (-) for disruption... all remaining Chinese troops are nothing but shattered units...

Having lost several thousand of combat squads in total when we will take Imphal for sure will make the game look different than usually when you see 6000 av moving South from Chittagong or Akyab. The Commonwealth have lost so many troops in India already I could go all in and take the subcontinent as I can/could employ 10,000 av there.

Don't see a reason to do so though as we have accomplished all our goals except really hurting the Royal Navy.

Go in and kill more, don't garrison and let the partisans destroy the infrastructure while you get the benefits of the factories and resources. Then pull back to the Calcutta area. Then you won't have to worry about a big push on that side of the map unless the Americans come in until the reinforcements from Europe arrive.

Take Scotra and place long ranged Nells there to target incoming convoys that probably won't have air protection. [:D]

I like smelly foods like sauerkraut! Apple pies and caramel rolls coming out of the oven smell too!

What I mean is, take the areas to wreck any units there and possibly the industry and infrastructure, then pull back. Rinse and repeat as necessary.
