Serbian AI should not invest in artillery techs

Post by The Land »

Hello - after switching Serbia from AI to human control in Jan 15 (see the AAR thread) I notice Serbia has invested in artillery tech and gas & shell production. Since Serbia is almost certain never to have artillery, can I suggest amending its research AI?

I imagine it's using the general-purpose research AI settings, which are basically fine - but not for Serbia which is in a category of its own as a 'minor major' so to speak.

Thanks and I'll give the Serbians a chance to purchase some Artillery in an upcoming build so hopefully this will help.

Thanks! :)

I'd also look at Serbia investing in Industrial Technology, to be honest. For a power with 60-80MPP production a turn, 110MPPs spent on Industrial Technology has a very low breakeven point.

Well, since 15% is the benefit, with 50 mpp it is 8 per turn, or just 12 or so turn, with more (success against AH, or conquereing Bulgaria) it can be quite fast, but true, not really the most important goal.
