Naval Battles Simulator

Post by Red2112 »

I did a post some time ago about this game but the Matrix search option is at present not the best at finding older post. Anyhows...

Got a mail from the dev saying it will be released to Steam Feb. 26th, so if interested in such game, add it to your wishlist...

Looked at the rate of fire for the Main Guns. They seem to be firing way to fast. So I don't know. What is the time scale on the battles?? It was set a x1.

time x1 in battle = real time
eg 20 second in battle = 20 second on your clock

multiply x 4, 4 seconds in the battle = 1 real-time second

You can check a gun loading time in Encyclopedia for each ship

I see it's still "early access." I think I'll wait until it's further along.

i wouldnt say Naval Battles Simulator is better than RTW series, its a bit similar to RTW but more like following in the tradition of Great Naval Battles 1. It is still being regularly updated, hence early access.

The developer plans to add aircraft also and other features - i would like to see the scale in game changed and also the inclusion of flares and spotlights - invaluable for night actions, and coastal air recon in the campaign at the very least

as for the rate of fire - it can seem fast but i think that is the secondary fire occurring also?
