Compare to END of Wars? MP question also

Compare to END of Wars? Differences?
Does it give units troop compositions like EAW ie. this unit has 12900 men 60 guns 1200 Cavalry etc? Or is it just point factors which I hate on the unit. 10 point unit = what exactly? It doesn't really seem that realistic to IMHO.

MP question?

Do I have to use the PBEM++ (Slitherine) stuff or can I play with friends using dropbox etc? Have had nothing but headaches with PBEM++

Thanks, chaps....

Ageod games were great, I've been playing since 2010. Unfortunately they focus on grand strategy now. I think Strategic Command is one of the best about global war game that has some detail.

Pbem in Slitherine server is great. Very easy to use I recommend.

It's pure point factors. I'm not sure adding unit strengths would add much to the experience, given that counters are corps-sized and there is only one industrial resource.

On the plus side the readiness model is very subtle and realistic.

So the only way to play an MP game is Slitherine?
EAW doe 1,2 or 3 player games I take this one only allows 1 or 2 player game.

Thanks guys.....

You can use the build in access to the Slitherine PBEM++ server or manually email saved game files by selecting Hotseat mode and then sending the files to your opponent. Hotseat mode now supports a replay of the last moves and can be used to play the game with more than 2 players as well.

I played To End All Wars and it was fun, but I couldn't get past a few turns. It's a more complicated game with pros and cons. AGEOD is also more likely to crash in my experience.

This game is simpler but not too simple in my opinion. I'm able to play thru the entire game.

Didn't have much crash while playing To End All Wars pbems. Beside some mechanics more complicated, maybe WEGO nature difficult for AI but in pbem TEAW was very good - Ageod engine is at best in maneuver it was also good enough about entrenchments- SC more AI friendly game maybe more static. But glad WW1 games on market.
