Can You control Advance after combat

Post by waldo88 »

Is it possible to control whether or not a victorious unit advances after combat? I frequently see this scenario:
Unit advances after combat discovering a previously hidden unit. This triggers the "enemy contact" routine in which the hidden unit attacks the advancing unit & devastates it, leaving it weakened so that it can be eliminated on the very next turn.

For what its worth I rarely see AI advance after combat into the scenario described above. Is that because the AI often recons before attacking & exposes any hidden units?

Surely your unit will only advance after combat if you tell it to?
