Post by baxterbj »

Hi I've just installed my new copy of CMO, cannot get the Contact for support to work as it states the Captcha is not correct, yet I'm logged in.

I am unable to get the auto update to function when I start up CMO, it states it has an error and cannot update????

Please some one HELP

Hey baxterbj & samurai549; I've sent this to the appropriate people. Should have some feedback for you very soon.

Ditto. Work-around for me was to uninstall and re-install. But that is not as cool as your auto-update...

Hi, just saw your post and wanted to add that I have run in to similar issues and was able to figure it out since I have several Matrix/Slitherine games. I hope this applies to you also. When you install the game and run the update client, often you will get a windows firewall prompt. It should inform you that features of the True Update client have been blocked. Then you must give the True Update client permission to connect through "Private Networks" and possibly "Public Networks" if you wish. Once I gave the app permission, I have been able to use the update feature through the splash screen when you start the game.

I'm not sure how to correct a blocked program on the firewall, but I suspect this could be your issue. The updater uses FTP protocol. Of course, you can also use the "my page" feature on the website to get any related downloads, but I like the convenience.

I'm sorry to hear you are having problems with the download of your game's update. Usually this issue is caused by the interference of a Internet security program (a firewall, an anti-virus, an anti-malware, etc.) with the game update feature. Please check if any of your Internet security programs is interfering with the download from our ftp servers.

Alternatively, you can manually download and install the updates from your account's download area and from the game's product page:

As I have said every time I see this come up. The auto update has not worked on any of my four computers for years. Never been able to get it working. This is in multiple locations and with different ISPs. Its not a firewall or anti-virus issue. As you can always see, its multiple people too. I hope you guys will eventually fix this.

Uninstalled the game and attempted reinstall from my DVD game discs from Matrix. Unable to reinstall the game. Getting a message after installation starts: unable to open executable file and installation shuts down. Very frustrated! Any suggestion appreciated!
