Teamviewer

Post by paulderynck »

Don't know if many people are using Teamviewer - either at all or for more than two players - but I recently found out that they now require you to have a license to connect to more than one other PC as per their "free for private use" claim.

Also if you use the Teamviewer ID on your own LAN instead of the local IP address, you'll get a pop-up saying you need a license. I asked them about this and they said it was because there's no way the program can know how many other PCs might connect via LAN at the same time. I've been meaning to test whether I can connect more than two PCs on a LAN using only their IP addresses. This is of course no help for most multiplayer applications since the players normally do not share the same LAN. It would just be for my own edification, but once I test it, I'll post the results here.
